Shane Edward Evans
Shane Edward Evans, 45, Albion, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on September 13th. Born March 7, 1975, in Columbia City, he was the son of Alan Wilkerson and Vickie (Evans) Beasley.
He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1993. Shane spent the majority of his work career as a semi driver. He worked for Bocsh, Black Horse Carriers, Stanz Foodservice, P&B Trucking, and recently for Driver Source driving for Ryder this past spring.
Watching racing, rooting on the Green Bay Packer and Colts were some of the joys Shane had. He loved his children deeply and enjoyed cooking for his family. A collector of many interests, Shane was always on the lookout for a rare stamp, coin, clock or antique airplane. Shane had a large personality including being funny, telling jokes and being charismatic. He was very social and enjoyed being around others and having a great time. He found relaxation and joy in riding his motorcycle, cursing around in his Mustang convertible, fishing and listening to music.
Shane is survived by his mother, Vickie Beasley; step-father, Ryan Beasley; son, Sebastian Evans; daughter, Alexis Evans; sisters, Angie Goings, Heather (Brandon) Whelpley Sinja Hadley, Paige (Virgil) Cordova, Shannon Roe and Shantel Wilkerson; brothers, Steven (Lena) Kellam and Shiloh Wilkerson; girlfriend, Tristan Smith; many nieces and nephews; and two great-nephews.
