Champion Tigers Pace All-NLC Soccer Tally

GOSHEN – After completing its first unbeaten Northern Lakes Conference girls soccer in nearly 20 years, Warsaw celebrated a host of selections in the All-NLC awards, which were made public Monday evening.
Six Tigers were chosen as All-NLC after its 7-0 campaign in Corissa Koontz, Rylee Burns, Audrey Grimm, Zoe Bergan, Megan DeBoest and Macy Wayne. As well, three from Warsaw were named Honorable Mention All-NLC in Bonnie Hampton, Jordan Love and Kierstin Parker. Head coach Jon Hoover was tabbed by his peers as the NLC Coach of the Year.
Plymouth and Concord wound up tied for second at 4-1-2, the Pilgrims with Aubrey Vervynckt, Julia Kinney, Lindsay Janus and Amber Schrameyer all named All-NLC and the Minutemen getting Kendal Swartout, Jada Swanson, McKenna DeFreese and Rylee Brenneman as First Team. Plymouth also had Alexis Rose and Lauren Rumpler and Concord had Katherine Lopez-Cruz and Riley Cooper all as Honorable Mentions.
Concluding the First Team All-NLC selections were Delaney Hoag, Madison Wienert and Kendal Ilnicki-Weaver from Northridge (4-2-1); Lili Lomeli, Caitlin Knepp and Lizzie Hilderbrant of NorthWood (2-3-2); Maddie Swallow, Alessandra Lozano and Joya Drenth of Goshen (2-4-1); Skylar Kempf of Mishawaka (1-6); and Ale Haberman of Wawasee (0-7).
Honorable Mentions also included Morgan Cross of Northridge, Emma Martz of NorthWood, Miriam Ruiz of Goshen, Franny Parks of Mishawaka and McKenzie Long of Wawasee.
