Reasons For Supporting Garza
Dear Editor,
I want to go on record with my support for Antony Garza for Judge of Kosciusko Superior Court 3 in Kosciusko County. Kosciusko Superior Court 3 handles Level 5 and 6 felonies. These include felony traffic cases, such as OWI and OWI causing serious bodily injury and/or death, issuance of protective orders, small claims, and civil cases. I believe Mr. Garza’s experience as a Prosecutor, along with the hundreds of cases he worked as a defense attorney (as opposed to his opponent), makes him more than qualified for your vote.
Mr. Garza was born in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University Bloomington in 1996 and has been practicing law for 23 years. For most of his practice, he has regularly appeared in our local courts. Mr. Garza has years of experience handling criminal cases both as a deputy prosecutor (2002-2006) and as a defense attorney. In his private practice, he has handled countless family law matters and civil cases. Mr. Garza has participated in jury and bench trials and contested hearings (please note that his opponent has not done jury trials). He is a certified mediator and is experienced with helping resolve party disputes. As a practicing trial attorney and litigator, Mr. Garza knows the Indiana rules of evidence and Indiana rules of trial procedure.
In addition to his duties as a lawyer, Antony Garza is very involved in our community. He serves as a Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of Combined Community Services, Kosciusko Literacy Services, United Way, Sus Amigos, Baker Youth Club, and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. He resides in Warsaw, Indiana.
I encourage everyone, Republican and Democrat, to do as I have already done and vote for Antony Garza.
