AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team mashed Manchester Monday 9-1.

Tanner Andrews posted his first pitching win of the season for the Vikings in the Three Rivers Conference win.

Andrews, a junior, went the first 4 1/3 innings for the hosts with seven strikeouts. Nick Kindig pitched the final 2 2/3 for Valley as the pair combined on a six-hitter.

Valley plated four runs in the third inning to highlight the win. The hosts also played errorless baseball, while the Squires committed seven errors.

Clayton Adamson and Eric Hammer each had two hits and two RBI to pace the Valley offense.

Isaac Shewman also drove in a pair of runs for the winners. Andrews and Hammer each had a double for Valley.

The Vikings host TRC foe Southwood Wednesday and then play a makeup game at Warsaw on Thursday evening.
