James ‘Jim’ Henry Henderson
James “Jim” Henry Henderson, 73, Milford, passed away unexpectedly, Nov. 10, 2020, at Kosciusko Community Hospital. Jim was born in Marion, on May 2, 1947, to Elmer Henry and Velma Ellen (Goble) Henderson. Jim married Suzette Krall in Gas City on May 17, 1969; she survives.
Jim joined the United States Army right out of high school where he honorably served during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and the Milford United Methodist Church. Jim enjoyed meeting the guys from work for breakfast at Richards Restaurant in Warsaw, traveling, camping at Lukens Lake Resort, riding his motorcycle and tinkering on things. He could fix just about anything. He loved spending time with friends and family.
Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years Suzette, three children, Betsy Small of Pierceton, Joseph H. Henderson of Milford and Jamie Mason; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Ezra, Cody, Jessica, Katie, David and Dalton and a great granddaughter Bella. Also surviving are his brother Mike (Donna) Henderson of Gas City and his sister Becky (Rick) Harris also of Gas City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard Henderson and a grandson Cameron Nichols
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Milford. Reverend Rob Nelson is officiating the service with burial following at Milford Cemetery where Military Rites will be rendered by The American Legion Post 226 and members of the United States Army.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 13, from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
