Cromwell Man Killed In Early Morning Accident

SYRACUSE — An early morning collision claimed the life of a Cromwell man.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Team, at approximately 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, Brittany Hughes, 25, Cromwell, was driving a 2000 Nissan Altima north on State Road 13. The Altima left the east side of the roadway, south of Southshore Drive, struck a tree and rolled.
Hughes’ front seat passenger, Tyler Goodpaster, 24, Cromwell, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
Speed is not believed to be a factor and this crash remains under investigation, according to a press release sent out by Sgt. Chris Francis, KCSO public information officer.
Responding agencies at the scene included the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Syracuse Police Department, Turkey Creek Fire Territory, North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Fire Department and Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
