North Webster Library To Host Sleep Away Camp For Stuffed Animals, Scavenger Hunt
News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — Although many children’s camps were cancelled this summer, your child has the opportunity to send their stuffed animal or doll away for a week of camp at North Webster Community Public Library.
Drop off a stuffed animal or doll in the youth department Jan. 6 – 8 for a fun sleep away camp. Return to the library anytime during the day on Jan. 16 to pick up your child’s buddy and watch a slide show of their fun time at camp. Each toy will be sent home with a photo booklet of their camp adventures. If you can’t make it to the library on Jan. 16, stuffed animals will be available for pick up through Jan. 20, along with a photo packet. Toys will be quarantined after drop off and before pick up for health safety.
During January, bring the kids to the youth department each week for a scavenger hunt to find the hidden snowmen. Kids who have searched and found them all receive a treat. It is a fun way to explore the library. Take-home crafts are also available. When your child has completed their craft, post of photo of their creation on the library’s Facebook page and get entered in a weekly drawing for a free book.
Although the library remains open for in-person visits, curbside service is also available. Just go to the library’s website nweb.lib.in.us and browse the online catalog, then call (574)-834-7122 or email [email protected] with your selections. If emailing, be sure to include your name and phone number. The library staff will call you when your items are ready to pick up. Call when you arrive and your items will be brought out to your car. If you do not have internet access or you are not sure what books or movies you want, tell the staff what you are interested in and they will make selections for you. North Webster Community Public Library remains committed to serving patrons while keeping everyone safe.
