Groninger, Stutsman Appointed To MACOG Policy Board

SOUTH BEND – The Michiana Council of Governments has announced the appointment of leaders on its policy board, according to a news release from the group.
Appointments include:
- Goshen Mayor Jeremy Stutsman will serve as chairman.
- Kosciusko County Commissioner Cary Groninger will serve as secretary.
- Elkhart County Commissioner Suzanne Weirick will serve as first vice-chair
- Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter will serve as the second vice-chair.
- St. Joseph County councilman Mark Root will serve as treasurer.
Policy Board meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. All meetings are open to the public as well as live-streamed. MACOG is a voluntary organization of local governments that studies and attempts to resolve, for the benefit of each local government and the region, areas of importance that cross the boundaries of individual local governments. This typically includes but is not limited to transportation, transit, economic development, environmental (air & water quality), and other issues that impact the region.
