WPD Issues Warrant For Con Man
As StaceyPageOnline.com first reported (See full story), a man wanted for fraud and theft is now being sought by Warsaw Police.
Christopher B. Clapp, 30, has officially been named a suspect in a local case and warrants have now been issued. Clapp is already wanted on two felony warrants from Mansfield, Ohio, for theft and aggravated assault, and one for felony theft out of Missoula County, Montana.
On May 10, Clapp allegedly stole three credit cards from Brooke Bays of Warsaw. Clapp was well known to Bays and had been renting a room from her for one week. Warsaw Police say over $515 in cash and cigarettes was obtained by Clapp before Bays’ cards were cancelled. The suspect was tracked to a local hotel, but police he left before officers arrived and has not been seen since.
In the Warsaw case, two felony fraud warrants have been issued for the arrest of Clapp. His last recorded address was 4105 Kuder Ln., Warsaw. Bays told StaceyPageOnline.com Clapp does not have a vehicle.
Clapp is described as a white male, 6’ feet tall, 195 pounds with short dark hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a pastel colored plaid button up shirt, a black leather coat and brown slip on shoes.
