Weather Service Predicts 6-10 Inches Of Snow By Tuesday

WARSAW – More snow is expected to begin arriving Sunday night, Feb. 14, and continue through Monday.
The National Weather Service has declared a winter storm warning for much of northern Indiana, including Kosciusko County.
The warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The weather service warns that travel could be very difficult late Sunday night into Tuesday morning with the greatest impacts expected Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Total snow accumulations will range from six to ten inches, the weather service said.
Up to two inches of light accumulating snow is expected overnight by Monday morning. After an expected lull, there will be moderate to heavy snow Monday evening, persisting into the overnight hours before ending Tuesday morning.
The storm will cause some blowing and drifting snow.
Sunday’s overnight low will be 9 degrees.
Monday’s temperatures will range from a high of 15 and a low to 6.
Winds on Monday could gust up to 20 mph.
The storm is part of a larger system that is expected to dump 8 to 12 inches of snow across central Indiana. Winds could gust to 30 mph Monday evening and the weather service predicts travel could be treacherous.
