Tigers Take Honors At Triton Invite
Warsaw opened its 2021 boys golf season with a fine round of 340 to win the 12th annual Triton Invite held at Rozella Ford Golf Course on Saturday.
The Tigers had the individual medalist in Aiden Bowell, who shot an 18-hole round of 73, six shots better than Triton’s John Gardner, who was runner-up at 79. Austin Craig shot 85 and Will Hall 88 to aid the Tigers’ tournament run.
Triton’s A team shot 342 to just miss Warsaw, it’s B at 382 and fifth place. John Glenn (378) and Twin Lakes A (382) sat between Triton’s two teams.
Among high scorers for the Trojans were Cole McKinney at 82 and Breylon Wareham at 88.
Vikings Get Started At Rochester
The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team started its season Saturday with an entry at the Rochester Invite at Round Barn.
The Vikings were 12th overall, led by Greg Miller’s nine-hole round of 40. Miller was tied for fourth overall in the tournament. Complete results were not made immediately available.
