Maple Leaf Farms To Hold Vaccination Clinics For Employees
News Release
LEESBURG — Maple Leaf Farms is holding free, on-site COVID-19 vaccination clinics for staff members working at its Milford and Leesburg locations on Friday, April 23.
The vaccine will be administered by Meijer Pharmacy to all Maple Leaf Farms team members seeking a free and convenient opportunity to get the vaccine. The clinics will not be open to the general public.
“Food manufacturing workers like our team members have been diligently performing essential work throughout the pandemic,” said Scott Reinholt, chief operating officer for Maple Leaf Farms. “Offering our workers convenient access to an effective COVID-19 vaccine is part of our continuing efforts to protect their health and their families.”
Leading up to the vaccination clinics, Maple Leaf Farms is educating its staff about the vaccine. This information is available in multiple languages. The company’s human resources staff is also helping staff members who cannot attend the clinics identify alternative vaccination options.
“For months, we have been dedicating resources and diligently working to ensure the health and safety of our team members,” said Reinholt. “Now, we are also focused on educating and encouraging our team members to be vaccinated. In fact, any employee who gets vaccinated, whether at work or on their own, will receive a $50 retail gift card.”
Maple Leaf Farms’ vaccination clinics are the latest move the company has taken to fight COVID-19. Since the spring of 2020, the company has invested in protective measures such as automated temperature scanners, workstation dividers, increased social distancing and additional personal protective equipment.
