Thirteen Properties Violate Tall Grass Ordinance
Thirteen residences in North Webster will be receiving notices that each is in violation of the town’s tall grass and weed ordinance. Police Chief Greg church notiified the North Webster Town Council during its Tuesday evening meeting that notices were sent out that day.
Town residents were urged to keep their lawns mowed by the council. Center Street Extension resident J.B. Routh attended to complain about a neighboring vacant property, but reported that the grass and weeds had been cut on Tuesday.
The town council has been notified of a pending lawsuit against the town’s insurance carrier by someone who fell in one of the town’s parking lots. Counsel has been hired by the insurer to represent the town in the matter according to town attorney Jack Birch.
Utilities manager Mike Noe informed that the lift station for Stanley Street is on back order and will be installed when it arrives. Councilman Tim Hine said that buoys at the North Webster Town Park’s beach will be installed soon. They were waiting for the Antique Outboard Motor Show and Swap Meet to be held as exhibitors like to take boats out from the beach. It occured last Saturday.
The sidewalk and irrigation system has been completed as well as flowers being planted by Katy Did It. Reservations are now being made for the pavilion.
Minutes of the April meeting were tabled due to the absence of clerk-treasurer Betsy Luce. The nexy regular meeting will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at North Webster Community Center, 301 N. Main St.
