Day Camp To Provide Hands-On Learning About Energy
WARSAW — Local youth will have the opportunity to learn about and experience the energy industry this summer at the “Light it Up” day camp. Campers who are currently completing third, fourth, and fifth grade can participate and learn about different forms of energy through hands-on activities and projects.
Campers will have the option to attend camp Tuesday, June 1, at the Kosciusko County Purdue Extension Office in Warsaw. Check-in is from 8:30-9 a.m. and events will be concluded at 3:30 p.m.
The agenda includes meeting energy industry leaders, hands-on learning activities with every different form of energy, building a 4-H electric project they can take to the Kosciusko County 4-H and Community Fair, build lifelong friends through team activities and games. Campers will build projects they can take home and share with their family and friends.
A $20 registration fee will include snacks, lunch, activity supplies, and take-home lessons.
Registration and payment are due to the Kosciusko County Purdue Extension Office by Friday, May 28. The registration form is available at bit.ly/3wk7hOL. Attendance is limited to 30 campers.
