Ascencion R. Brito
Ascencion R. Brito, 80, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away ay 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Mason’s Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
On May 3, 1933, he was born in Guerrero, Mexico, to Ascencion Brito and Delfina Roman. He married Guadalupe Delgado in 1955 in Guerrero, Mexico.
Ascencion worked as a farmer in Mexico. He then moved to Warsaw ten years ago. Ascencion was a member of the Catholic faith and he enjoyed singing and playing his guitar.
He is survived by his wife; five daughters: Socorro Brito, Pierceton, Ind.; Maria A. Brito, Warsaw; Margarita Brito, Pierceton, Ind.; Norma Brito, Decatur, Ala.; and Cristina Brito, Warsaw; five sons: Jose Brito, Goshen, Ind.; Felix Brito, Pierceton; Francisco Brito, Pierceton; Marcello Brito, Pierceton; and Hugo Brito, Warsaw; two brothers; three sisters; 50 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Georgina Acosto.
Visitation hours will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, with rosary at 6:30 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, and also from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Warsaw, with Father Constantino Rocha officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
