Pierceton Woman A Winner In State Ag Photo Contest

PIERCETON — A Pierceton woman is one of the winners in a state agriculture photo contest.
Sarah Sands was one of the winners in the Conservation category of the Indiana Department of Agriculture’s photo contest. Her photo “The Coneflower Bee,” shown above, was taken at Warsaw’s Central Park.
Winners are to be honored on Thursday, Aug. 5, at the Celebration of Agriculture Ceremony at the Indiana State Fair.
Sands has been taking photos for 10 years, after taking photography classes at Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne. She runs Sarah Sands Photography, specializing in family portraits, senior portraits, engagement sessions, milestones and events.
“I love being creative and using my talent to capture God’s beauty!” she said in an email.
Sands is originally from Silver Lake and graduated from Warsaw Community High School. She is married and has two children.
