Princess Christmas Extravaganza To Benefit CASA
Staff Report
ROCHESTER — Little girls seeking to meet princesses in real life will have a chance to do so soon locally.
Empeiria 110, an event venue at 5729 SR 110, Rochester, around 8 miles west of Mentone, is hosting its first annual Princess Christmas Extravaganza later this year.
Tickets are now on sale for the event on Saturday, Dec. 4. There will be two shows from noon-2 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Six to eight Disney princesses are expected to perform and interact with guests. Proceeds from the event will benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Kosciusko County.
Tickets are $20 for adults and children and are limited. There’s also an 80-cent service fee. Each child who attends must have an adult with them.
“We hope to raise awareness and funding for the needs of CASA in our area,” said Empeiria 110 Co-Owner Angie Swihart. She also talked about the importance of the organization.
“I was unaware of CASA until I knew someone involved with social work for Kosciusko County,” she said.
“Unfortunately, we live in a world of neglect and abuse. It is so heartbreaking to read and hear stories of innocent children who long to be loved and have security in their home life. This organization gives a voice for that neglected and abused child and helps paint a picture for the judge. CASA’s ultimate goal is to give the child the best possible outcome. I hope to be more involved with CASA in the future,” she said.
Swihart added she thinks everyone will enjoy the event.
“This event will bring a lot of joy to all those who love their princesses,” she said. “I think it will be just as exciting for Mom, Dad, Grandma, etc. to see the look on their child’s face.”
