Kosciusko Leadership Academy Kicks Off New Year
News Release
WARSAW— With 12 cadets already on board to learn more about Kosciusko County, the Kosciusko Leadership Academy (KLA) year started its 2021-2022 year on Aug. 24 with breakfast and an organizational meeting at the Owl’s Nest Banquet Hall in North Webster.
A bus tour then followed to feature some of the area’s notable attractions.
At the Owl’s Nest, Jill Boggs, CEO of Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau, presented a history and overview of Kosciusko County.
The tour included visiting examples of tourism, entrepreneurship and travel in Kosciusko County, with stops at Webster Lake with a ride on the Dixie, then an extensive tour of Polywood in Syracuse.
Using more than 54 million tons of recycled high-density plastics each year, Polywood not only produces high-quality furniture products, but protects the environment by reducing potential landfills. In addition to already experiencing exponential growth since its founding in 1990, Polywood has doubled in size.
The next KLA session will cover Agribusiness in Kosciusko County at Creighton Bros. LLC Headquarters on Sept. 7.
