Yeo Key In Exhibition Win
SULLIVAN – Clay Yeo’s debut as an Indiana All-Star was a success Monday night.
The former Triton High School star netted 11 points to help the Indiana squad defeat the Junior All-Stars 106-95 in an exhibition game at Sullivan High School.
Yeo, a Valparaiso University recruit who led the Trojans to a Class 1-A state runner-up finish in March, hit 4-8 field goal attempts including a 3-pointer in the win. The 6-6 guard also hit both of his free throw tries and had four rebounds.
Former Mishawaka Marian star guard Demetrius Jackson had two points for the All-Stars. The Notre Dame recruit also had five assists and six rebounds.
Bryson Scott led the winners with 19 points. V.J. Beachem from Fort Wayne, another Irish recruit, scored 14 points.
Plymouth standout Mack Mercer had eight points for the Junior All-Stars.
The Indiana All-Stars will play the Junior team again Wednesday night at Tipton High School. The team will then face Kentucky Friday night at Freedom Hall in Louisville and Saturday evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
