Wawasee High School Celebrating Homecoming Week

SYRACUSE — Homecoming week at Wawasee High School is the week of Sept. 20-24. Activities are planned for each day of the week at the school and will culminate in the crowning of the king and queen during halftime of the Wawasee-Plymouth football game Sept. 24.
Monday is “The Breakfast Club;” PJ Day. Tuesday is dress up as a favorite cast and group costumes. A variety talent show is also tentatively planned for Tuesday but could be canceled if there are only a few acts.
Wednesday is “Stranger Things;” ‘80s Day. Color wars will also take place Wednesday.
Thursday is “Rango;” Country Day.
Friday is “Friday Night Lights;” class colors of freshmen, yellow; sophomore, green; junior, white; senior, black. There is also a pep rally Friday.
Beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday is the homecoming parade. It will begin at Polar Kraft on Chicago Street in Syracuse and proceed west on Chicago through the WHS parking lot to Syracuse Elementary School. The route is new this year due to the construction on Main Street.
And kickoff for the football game is 7 p.m. with the king and queen crowned at halftime.
