UPDATE: Cyclist Injured After Colliding With Vehicle

WARSAW — A cyclist was injured after colliding with a vehicle on Tuesday, Sept. 21, in Warsaw.
Carolyn O. Flores, 62, Warsaw, was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne after complaining of upper leg pain.
At 11:43 a.m. at South Detroit Street and Pope Street in Warsaw, she collided with a 2016 Buick Encore driven by Ruby J. Wilhite, 86, Warsaw.
According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, Wilhite said she was traveling westbound on Pope Street. She stopped at the stop sign at the Pope Street and South Detroit Street intersection.
Wilhite said she looked both ways and didn’t see anyone coming from either direction. She turned south on South Detroit Street, and as she turned, she heard a “thud.” She realized that a cyclist had collided with her vehicle.
A witness to the scene was traveling northbound on South Detroit Street near the intersection of South Detroit Street and Pope Street.
She said Flores was traveling southbound on her bicycle on South Detroit Street and Wilhite was stopped at the stop sign on Pope Street.
The witness said Wilhite turned south on South Detroit Street in front of Flores. She said Flores and Wilhite’s vehicle collided, causing Flores to fall off her bicycle.
