Man Arrested After Inviting Kids To Watch Porn With Him
Staff Report
WARSAW — A North Manchester man was recently arrested after allegedly asking two children to watch pornography with him.
Ty Lee Parrett, 26, 12600 S. SR 13 No. 21, North Manchester, is charged with inappropriate communication with a child, a class A misdemeanor.
On April 2, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office detective met with an individual regarding an incident involving their child. The individual provided the detective with screenshots she had retrieved off of her child’s cellphone.
According to court documents, the screenshots showed messages where Parrett was communicating with two children on Feb. 25 and 26.
During the course of the investigation, a KCSO detective found a text conversation on Facebook messenger between one of the children and Parrett. The conversation was initiated by Parrett, who allegedly asked the child if they and the other child would watch pornography with him.
In the Facebook message, Parrett told the child he would pay them to watch pornography and would also pay them if he “showed them what he was working with,” referring to his genitalia.
A detective interviewed the individual’s child about what occurred. They said between Feb. 25 and 26, Parrett started messaging them about watching pornography with him and that Parrett offered them money to watch it.
On April 7, Parrett was interviewed by officers. Initially, Parrett denied communicating with the children on Facebook messenger and said his account had been hacked.
He later admitted to contacting the children through the messaging app about watching pornography with him. Parrett also admitted to offering the children money to watch pornography with him.
Parrett was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 5, with a $1,000 cash bond.
