Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 3:48 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, East US 30, west of South CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Amy M. Carson, 38, South Old SR 15, Warsaw. Carson was traveling east on East US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.
- 10:11 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, South SR 25, east of South CR 400W, Warsaw. Driver: Ulises Jimenez Ramirez, 18, East Walnut Street, Akron. Jimenez Ramirez was traveling south on SR 25 when his vehicle lost traction due to the slick roadway. This resulted in his vehicle leaving the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:52 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, South CR 600W, north of West CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Drivers: Ruth I. Bowman, 27, South CR 600W, Silver Lake; and Raven L. Lambert, 23, East Center Street, Silver Lake. Bowman was exiting a driveway when she did not see Lambert’s vehicle. Bowman’s vehicle hit the back driver’s side of Lambert’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:28 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, East US 30, west of South CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Tammy S. Jennings, 51, Ringneck Trail, Warsaw. Jennings was traveling west on East US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
- 11:14 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, South County Farm Road, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Jason O. Marshall, 45, South County Farm Road, Claypool. Marshall was traveling south on South County Farm Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 3:27 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, US 30, near SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Michael Humphries, 46, North Wabash Road, Marion; and Jo A. Leazier, no information listed. Humphries was traveling east on US 30 when he rear-ended Leazier’s vehicle. Leazier complained of neck and back pain but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, South Buffalo Street, near West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Noah D. Ault, 23, West Warren Street, Silver Lake; and Siddharth S. Veeraghanta, 28, Chickadee Lane, Warsaw. Ault was backing his vehicle to get out of an intersection when he backed into Veeraghanta’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Drivers: Larry A. Behnke, 64, Wexford Place, Warsaw; and Jeffrey A. Reichert, 70, William Drive, Winona Lake. Behnke was backing his vehicle from a parking space when he hit Reichert’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, Anchorage Road, near SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Emanuel Jones, 35, South Aberdeen Street, Chicago, Ill.; and Bernadine A. Waikel, 59, West Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Jones was traveling south on SR 15 when the trailer on his vehicle hit the side mirror on Waikel’s vehicle. Damage under $750.
- 1:52 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 211 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw. Driver: Tony Luong, 51, Willow Lane, Markham, Ill. A witness said Luong’s vehicle was traveling south in a parking lot and attempted to turn right onto Jefferson Street when he backed into a parked, unoccupied vehicle. This resulted in the parked vehicle hitting a stop sign that was in front of it. Luong was later located and said he didn’t know he hit the parked vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
