UPDATE: Driver Taken To Hospital After Monday Afternoon Wreck

WARSAW – A woman involved in a traffic accident south of Warsaw on Monday, Nov. 1, was treated for neck pain afterward.
The accident happened at 5:06 p.m. at the intersection of CR 400S and Country Club Road.
Daniel Speicher, 57, of East CR 500N, Leesburg, told police he was traveling west on CR 400S when he stopped at the intersection and then proceeded into the intersection. He said he did not see the other driver, Lori Bays, 52, of East CR 1000S, Claypool, and did not have time to stop.
Bays’ vehicle, a white GMC four-door, ended up in a field after colliding with a Ford pickup driven by Speicher.
Bays told police she was disoriented afterward and did not remember the accident. She complained of neck pain and was taken to a hospital.
Speicher was not injured.
Total combined damages to both vehicles were estimated as much as $25,000.
Agencies responding to the accident included Claypool Fire Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Lutheran EMS.
