Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 5:53 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, East CR 1300N, Milford. Driver: Brandon D. Smith, 23, Manor Drive, Syracuse. Smith said the vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly because several deer entered the roadway. In order to avoid rear-ending that vehicle, Smith’s vehicle went off the road and struck a sign. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1:53 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Misty D. Shambaugh, 43, South CR 675W, Silver Lake; and Scott L. Harvey, 56, Mulberry Street, Servia. Shambaugh’s vehicle rear-ended Harvey’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1055 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Drivers: Karen L. Clark, 88, North Leiby Lane, Warsaw; and Troy A. Turley, 52, Edgewater Drive, Warsaw. Clark was traveling west in a car wash line at Clearwater Car Wash when he rear-ended Turley’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:13 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Patrick A. Bollinger, 21, North Runkle Drive, Warsaw; and Jason L. Haines, 47, Maye Street, Warsaw. Bollinger was traveling west on East Center Street and said he was following too close behind Haines’ vehicle. He hit Haines’ vehicle while they were in an intersection. A passenger in Bollinger’s vehicle, Kaylee R. Denney, 18, Warsaw, complained of knee pain but refused treatment at the scene. Medics were also called on scene to make sure a second passenger, Wendolynn Smith, 1, Warsaw, was okay. Smith was uninjured. Damage under $750.
