Three Injured In Elkhart County Crash

NEW PARIS — A North Webster driver and two passengers were injured in a three-vehicle crash west of New Paris. The crash occurred at 2:29 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at CR 17 and CR 142.
Mary Conway, 64, North Webster, driver of a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country, complained of leg and arm pain. Passengers in her vehicle, Mary Rose Conway, 26, and Thomas Conway, 45, no town listed for either person, were also injured. Mary Rose Conway suffered right arm pain. Thomas Conway complained of back pain.
Drivers of the other two vehicles, Brent Martin, 54, Goshen; and Kevin Silcox, 42, New Paris, were not injured.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s officers report Mary Conway was southbound on CR 17 and stopped at the intersection with CR 142. She proceeded into the intersection attempting to turn east when she was struck by Martin’s vehicle. Martin, who was eastbound, was driving a 1998 Volvo semitractor/trailer. The collision pushed the Martin vehicle into Silcox’s 013 Audi Q7, which was westbound on CR 142.
Mary Conway and Mary Rose Conway were taken to Goshen General Hospital by Goshen Medics. Thomas Conway was taken to Goshen Hospital by New Paris Medics.
