Kid’s Business Fair This Saturday In North Webster
NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Community Center will host the largest Kid’s Business Fair on record in the county. This year’s Kid’s Business Fair has exceeded its entry numbers by twice the average booths with more than 70 small youth businesses being represented from a tri-county radius. It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19.
Each youth entrepreneur is responsible for creating their own small business name, plan and product.
“They have everything from Lily’s Concrete Creations to Cookies and Advice with Nora and Bryce,” said NWCC Event Organizer Mike Kissinger. “This year has blown us away with sponsorships and entries.”
Community businesses showed outpouring support to the center by providing sponsorships for T-shirts, marketing and prizes. North Webster-Tippecanoe Chamber of Commerce is even presenting special memberships to each youth member.
“What we really need now is shoppers,” announced Kissinger. “The young business owners have worked for months preparing products for this day. NWCC is preparing to have a building full of supporters this Saturday.”
“We start Friday afternoon clearing the gym and now the hallways to set up booth spaces,” stated Emily Worrell, NWCC executive director. “We never dreamed we would run out of gym space, luckily we have the building space to support them all.”
North Webster Community Center is home to the North Webster branch of Parkview Warsaw YMCA, Senior Primelife Enrichment Center, The Watershed Foundation, Tippecanoe-Chapman Sewer District, and NWCC Massage, plus a host of youth and adult programs.
