Russell and Doris Frantz, formerly of Sidney, Ind., celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 3. The couple were married in 1948 at the Packerton Evangelical United Brethren Church by Reverend John Andrews.

Russell worked at Peabody Heating for 15 years and Redman Plumbing and Heating for 18 years. He retired in 2007. Doris worked for Heckman Bindery for 25 years before retiring in 1998.

The couple have four children: Stan (Lynn) Frantz, South Whitley, Ind.; Neal (Connie) Frantz, Fremont, Ind.; Robin (Todd) Hughes, Pierceton, Ind.; and Kelly (Mark) Lybarger, Warsaw, Ind. They also have nine grandchildren.
