Big Brothers Big Sisters Hosting Annual Fundraiser
Press Release
WARSAW — Big Brothers Big Sisters invites the community to start something “BIG” by participating in its largest annual fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
This year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake Kosciusko County sessions are at The Bowling Alley in Warsaw from 1-3 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 24.
Each year, thousands of volunteers across northeast Indiana come together to support Big Brothers Big Sisters in its mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Not a bowler? No worries. This campaign isn’t about bowling, it’s about youth. All of the funds raised go directly toward helping match local children in need with a caring adult mentor. BBBS has brought the new brand, and with it comes the revamped Bowl for Kids’ Sake experience. This year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake is proudly presented by Pro Resources Staffing Services.
The concept is simple. Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for “team captains” to get themselves and four other friends, family members, or co-workers to form a team consisting of five total members. The Team Captain will register with Big Brothers Big Sisters to reserve their preferred date and time to bowl, encourage team members to raise pledges, and then show up on the chosen bowling date to celebrate and enjoy two hours of bowling with rentals, concessions, and the chance to win some amazing door prizes, all free. Each team member is encouraged to raise at least $100 in pledges, and incentive prizes are awarded to those that raise more.
Prizes vary by how much is raised. Some examples include t-shirts, portable coolers and grills, on the go totes, Bluetooth speakers, plush blankets, and tailgate chairs with cases.
For more information, to register team, or to view the 2022 Bowl for Kids’ Sake schedule, contact Big Brothers Big Sisters at (260) 456-1600 or go online. Participation in this event helps ensure that local children are matched with adult mentors to make a “BIG” difference in their lives.
