Free Birding Basics Workshop April 23 In Warsaw

WINONA LAKE — The Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams is hosting a free Birding Basics Workshop from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Beyer Farm Trail.
Parking for the trailhead is located along Provident Drive in Warsaw, behind Kosciusko Community Hospital.
At this family-friendly event, attendees will learn the size, shape and color patterns of native bird species. They will also learn to differentiate between birds that look similar, and hone their observation techniques.
A handful of spots for the event are left; reserve your participation online here.
The hike will be 1 1/2 miles round-trip along paved trails. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and cameras. At the end of the walk, attendees will have a chance to win bird-themed prizes.
