Voters Head To The Polls Under Rainy Skies

WARSAW – Despite some heavy rain in parts of Kosciusko County, voters were turning out to cast ballots Tuesday morning, May 3.
Rain is forecast to continue for much of the day, according to the National Weather Service.
In a message at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, County Clerk Ann Torpy reported in an email to the media that a total of 2,418 voters cast ballots already. The average wait time between check-ins seems to be running at about one minute, she said.
Torpy also provided details on early voting.
She said 95 voters cast ballots during the past two Saturdays in North Webster.
The total number of those casting early ballots across the county was 1,256.
The vote by mail option was used by 351 voters, and 305 had been returned as of 9:45 a.m., she said.
An election official at the Center Lake Pavilion said they’ve seen a steady stream of people arriving to vote.
Vote centers close at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
