Warsaw Area Career Center Students Excel At Welding Contest
Press Release
WARSAW — The Warsaw Area Career Center (WACC) welding program students recently competed in the second high school welding competition at Western Welding Academy.
Five Warsaw Community High School students made the cross-country trip to Gillette, Wyo.
These students were selected in February and were responsible for raising funds for this trip. Collectively, they raised over $5,000 to help fund the trip. A lot of hours after school, and even some Saturdays, were put in to prepare for this trip. For Carter Hall, that work paid off with a second place finish. Hall received a $10,000 scholarship, a table full of tools, welding gear and a welder.
The students who competed are Hall, Layton Cooper, Anthony Taylor, Cadence Gibson, and Daxton Prater.
Warsaw Community Schools staff would like to thank welding instructor Jeremiah Paseka and all who donated to fund this incredible opportunity.
