Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 1:08 p.m. Monday, May 23, West CR 400N, west of West Wallace Road, Warsaw. Driver: Mark A. Prescott, 59, North Nappanee Street, Nappanee. Prescott was traveling east on CR 400N when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
- 8:15 a.m. Monday, May 23, East US 30, west of North Binkley Road, Pierceton. Driver: Amanda L. Bixler, 41, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Bixler was traveling east on US 30 when a deer hit the front passenger side of her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, Collins Drive, near Chamberlin Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Craig M. Kuhn, 35, Collins Drive, Warsaw. Kuhn was backing his vehicle from a parking space when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
- 6:08 p.m. Monday, May 23, 524 E. Market St., Warsaw. Driver: Alexandria K. Moody, 26, East Island View Drive, Warsaw. Moody was turning her vehicle in a parking lot when she hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 5:10 p.m. Monday, May 23, West CR 250N, near North Rainbow Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Luke J. Miller, 29, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw. Miller’s vehicle left the roadway while traveling north on North Rainbow Drive. His vehicle hit a mailbox and speed limit sign. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:19 p.m. Monday, May 23, East US 30, near Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Kasey A. Espinosa, 33, East Washington Street A., Joliet, Ill.; and Jesse N. Jackson, 35, Shimamo Trail, Fort Wayne. Espinosa was traveling west on East US 30 when he rear-ended Jackson’s vehicle. Espinosa said traffic began to slow and he believed he had enough time to stop his vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
- 3:43 p.m. Monday, May 23, East Center Street, west of Harrison Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Trinity R. Blanton, 16, South SR 25, Mentone; and Jeremy J. Miller, 43, South CR 900W 92, Pierceton. Blanton was traveling east on Center Street when she rear-ended Miller’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:39 a.m. Monday, May 23, South Detroit Street, near East Pope Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Julia D. Boggs, 48, South CR 400W, Warsaw; and David E. King, 55, South Cherry Creek Lane, Warsaw. Boggs was traveling north on South Detroit Street and activated her right turn signal to turn onto East Pope Street. Upon realizing she didn’t need to turn, Boggs continued north on South Detroit Street and hit King’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
