GOSHEN — The Elkhart County 4-H Fair is fast approaching with its July 22 start date, and the fairgrounds has made some improvements in preparation.

On the evening of July 13, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for a new addition to the fairgrounds: three rooms installed to the back of the Heritage Park Stage, adding to the beauty and functionality of the park.

These green rooms will serve as comfortable changing and break rooms for Heritage Park performers like this year’s CRUSH Bon Jovi Experience, Girl Named Tom, 4 All Generations, Redeemed Quartet, The Reflector, and Marvel Superhero Meet and Greets. Additionally, the rooms will also be available year-round for those seeking to have a small gathering in a beautiful park.

“We are grateful for the community support for this project as many individuals and businesses donated time, materials and resources for its completion. This addition helps us give our fair guests more “Fun At Every Turn” like the Girl Named Tom concert we are able to host this year. We are excited to be able to offer bigger concerts and shows on the Heritage Park Stage in the coming years,” remarked project leader, Ronda Chupp.

The new structure also gives individuals and businesses the opportunity to leave their mark on the park. While space is available, donors can get an engraved block which will be placed in the border of the annex for a donation of $500 or $1,000. These blocks are perfect for those seeking to show their support of the fair, honor a loved one, or represent their business while providing for the continued upkeep and advancement of this beloved park. The first event on the Heritage Park Stage at the 2022 fair will be the ribbon cutting signaling the opening of the fair at 8 a.m. Friday, July 22
