ROCHESTER — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a threat reportedly made by a former student towards Rochester Community Schools is “unfounded and not creditable.”
The FCSO provided that information with media in a press release issued on Friday, Aug. 19.
It reads: “During the evening hours of August 18, 2022, Fulton County Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip concerning a threat to the Rochester Community School Corporation. Jointly, officers from the Rochester Police Department and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated this tip by conducting interviews and determined the threat to be unfounded and not creditable. Out of an abundance of caution, there was an additional law enforcement presence at the RCSC this morning.”
