Bomb Squad Detonates ‘Supicious Package’
The South Bend Bomb Squad was called to Suburban Acres Mobile Home Park in Warsaw Sunday afternoon after a suspicious package was located inside of a trailer.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies initially responded to the mobile home park at 3699 N. 175 E., Warsaw, at 4:28 p.m. The owner of the trailer was cleaning out items left in the unit from the previous renter when the package, wrapped in duct tape, was located. Police contacted the bomb squad to further examine the package.
The South Bend Bomb Squad neutralized the threat of the explosive by detonating the package without incident. Officials were on scene approximately 3 hours.
Also assisting on scene were officers of the Indiana State Police.
