SIDNEY — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person responsible for damage to a building near Sidney.

Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, police responded to a residence on CR 900S, near Sidney. The caller reported hearing either gunshots or a paintball gun.

KCSO deputies and a Pierceton Police officer arrived and found a small group of people standing outside of the residence. They discovered three holes in the residence’s siding that appeared to come from a small caliber firearm.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots, but nobody was seen.
