Syracuse-Wawasee Museum Hosts Potawatomi Chief Reenactor
The Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum will welcome 18th century Potawatomi Chief Five Medals to the Syracuse Community Center’s Celebration Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.
Chief Five Medals, played by historical reenactor Dan Lima, will give a 45-minute presentation about the lifestyle of the Potawatomi and their history in the Syracuse-Wawasee area. Other members of the Lima family will also attend in period dress and help with the presentation. After the talk, questions from the audience will be entertained. This event is free to the public; donations are appreciated.
