Jeff Grose Announces Mayoral Candidacy
News Release
WARSAW — Jeff Grose, Republican District One Warsaw City Councilman, is excited to announce his candidacy for Mayor of Warsaw.
“Serving on the common council has been a rewarding experience and an absolute privilege,” said Grose. “If elected Mayor of Warsaw, this knowledge will greatly assist my efforts to provide sound leadership for our city and the ability to successfully work with other public and private leaders in Warsaw and our surrounding communities.”
Beyond serving on the council, Grose has been teaching for 34 years and he is currently the social studies department chair at Warsaw Community High School. He is also a part-time political science instructor for Grace College and a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
As a city councilman, Grose is a member of the Warsaw Plan Commission, the board of works, and the redevelopment commission.
He and his wife, Rachel, have four children and they are expecting their first grandchild in March.
He also stated, “If elected, my priorities will include continued infrastructure improvements, excellent service from our public works, police, and fire departments, and short and long-term community planning efforts. I will also strive to encourage other leaders in our county to work together, establishing a common vision, in order to be more efficient with our tax dollars.”
Grose plans to formally file at the county justice building later this week. His campaign will be managed by Dr. Steven Hollar with George Clemens serving as committee treasurer.
“I have admired Mayor Thallemer’s outstanding service to Warsaw and the support he has given me. Like respected servant-leader and former mayor, Ernie Wiggins, I am looking forward to seeing how Dr. Thallemer offers his years of experience in a different fashion for the betterment of our entire community.”
