Holderman Resigning As WWFT Chief
News Release
WARSAW — Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Territory Chief Garrett Holderman has announced his intention to resign, effective Feb. 7.
That’s according to a City of Warsaw press release.
Holderman succeeded previous Chief Michael Wilson, who retired from service in 2022. He served the Rural Metro Fire Service for 17 years before coming to Warsaw. He cited personal family reasons for his decision and plans to return to Arizona.
“Chief Holderman came to our community anxious to serve as fire chief and hit the ground running. He developed a leadership training program as an early priority that will reap benefits for the department for many years to come. I wish Garrett all the best as he continues his fire service career,” said Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer.
