WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after allegedly punching a woman in the mouth twice.
Zachary Alan Kinch, 33, 3699 N. 175E Lot 69, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present and domestic battery with a prior enhancement, both level 6 felonies; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
On Jan. 15, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic complaint in Warsaw. A KCSO deputy spoke with a woman who said Kinch punched her in the mouth twice.
According to court documents, Kinch left the scene but later returned and kicked in a residence’s front door. The deputy noticed visible swelling and redness on the inside and right side of the woman’s lip.
Kinch told the deputy the woman busted the front door. A child at the scene said they saw Kinch punch the woman.
Kinch was previously convicted of domestic battery in Elkhart County in August 2020.
For this case, Kinch has already been arrested and released on bond. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Jan. 30, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
