Jeffery Allen Hutcherson

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after allegedly battering a woman.

Jeffery Allen Hutcherson, 62, 277 E. Burkhart Drive, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.

On June 3, 2022, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a domestic incident at a Warsaw residence. A woman said Hutcherson hit her in the face.

According to court documents, the woman and Hutcherson were having a verbal argument when Hutcherson hit her on the right side of her face, around her eye. He then grabbed the woman’s head with both of his hands and shook her. Hutcherson left the area before the deputy’s arrival.

The responding deputy noticed the area around the woman’s eyebrow was swollen and her eye was red.

On June 4, 2022, the woman said she woke up and found Hutcherson asleep in her home. When asked about the battery, Hutcherson said he never touched the woman but said they did have a verbal argument.

Hutcherson was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 17, 2023, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
