Area Police Reports
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incident:
- 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 15000 block US 6, Syracuse. Ryan Sutton reported an unknown subject cut a locking mechanism at his storage unit.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 400 block East CR 850S, Rochester. A resident requested to speak to an officer regarding someone coming onto his property and taking items.
- 5:28 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 4000 block East wood Drive, Rochester. A pit bull dog was reported running loose and almost attacking another dog. Police checked and could not locate the dog.
- 4:29 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 5000 block South SR 25, Rochester. Police were notified that a motor home was placed in their barn by another person and they want it removed. Also, a dog and cat were left there.
- 3:32 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 400 block East Water Street, Akron. Police were contacted that near the water tower there was a cat that is not doing well.
- 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1400 block Main Street, Rochester. A man reported a former employee was threatening him and his family. At first he was responding to messages, he is now no longer responding.
