WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library’s Board of Trustees has established a subcommittee for finding a new library director.
The board approved the subcommittee’s creation during a March 13 meeting. At a February board meeting, WCPL Director Ann Zydek announced her retirement, which will be effective in September.
Board President Chris Merrill said he spoke with state library representatives about searching for a new director. The state told Merrill WCPL can utilize any method it desires for recruitment.
Merrill, along with Board Members Tim Keyes and Cathi Zdenek, will serve on the subcommittee.
The subcommittee will meet on a biweekly basis and provide progress and recommendations to the Board of Trustees on Zydek’s replacement.
WCPL’s Board of Trustees’ next regular meeting is at 4 p.m. Monday, April 10.
