WCSC Hosts Free Summer Lunch Program
School’s out for summer and that means the Warsaw Community School Corporation’s free lunch program is back in session.
Kids in the WCSC system, ages 1 year old to 18 years old, are invited to take part in the free lunches at Winona Lake Park, Center Lake-Bixler Park and Merrywood Mobile Home Park.
The program is funded by the USDA, monitored by the Indiana Department of Education and operated through WCSC.
Lunches will be served weekdays only at Winona Lake Park and Center Lake-Bixler Park from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through July 27; and on Tuesdays and Thursdays only at Merrywood Mobile Home Park from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through July 26. No meals will be served at any of the locations from July 2-6.
Lunches will be cancelled at Center Lake and Merrywood during inclement weather.
USDA regulations require all lunches to be eaten on site. Adults may accompany children and eat for $3.25.
