WINONA LAKE — A discussion on Winona Lake’s budget originally set for Thursday evening, April 13, has been postponed.
The Winona Lake Town Council now plans to discuss that topic at its regular meeting, set to start at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Winona Lake Town Hall.
Thursday’s meeting was unable to continue due to Town Clerk-Treasurer Laurie Renier being delayed in getting there because of her daughter’s doctor’s appointment. It was also delayed as the town’s attorney, Adam Turner, wasn’t present.
As Renier had attorney Jack Birch present at the meeting to represent her, it was suggested the council have Turner present for the budget discussion.
The agenda for Thursday’s meeting stated the following items were to be discussed: “the 2022 budget; review of 2022 year-end fund report; review of 2022 appropriation report; 2023 budget; review of first quarter 2023 fund report; and review of first quarter 2023 appropriation report.”
More than 50 people showed up for Thursday’s meeting.
