Dance Troupe Offers Evening Of Artistry And Dance
News Release
WARSAW — Class Act Dance Troupe will bring its award-winning pieces to the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22.
“This concert will showcase the artistry, talent and dedication of our students,” said Class Act Dance Troupe co-director Tammy Seibold. “We have everything from a dynamic hip-hop piece, ‘Pump It Up,’ by Chicago-based choreographer Suavé, to the classical choreography of ‘The Lost Forest.’ The variety of this show will offer something for everyone.”
“Our students are passionate about dance and it shows in every piece. You can feel their intensity in the jazz piece ‘Ignition,’ then with just as much conviction they deliver the passionate message of ‘I Want to Break Free.’ As the show unfolds, you will be amazed by the versatility of our dancers. It’s the most entertaining 75 minutes you will find,” said Seibold.
Presale tickets are $15 and may be purchased online at Tututix.com. Tickets will be available for $17 at the door beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance. Proceeds from the performance benefit the Class Act Dance Troupe scholarship fund.
Discounted student tickets are available for $10 from any troupe member.
The nonprofit performing company, affiliated with Debra Collier’s School of Dance, was created in 1986 to provide students with additional opportunities to use their dance training by performing for various events and organizations and participating in regional competitions. The company of students, ages 8 to 18, has performed for such events as Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days, the Legacy program in New York City and for the Harlem Globetrotters, as well as focusing on community involvement through local performances.
