Local Students Enlist Into National Guard
Two local students have enlisted into the Indiana Army National Guard. Logan Britton recently enlisted into, HHD, 138TH Finance Battalion, Indiana Army National Guard and Micheal Donahue recently enlisted into 1538th Transportation Company, Indiana Army National Guard.
Britton, who is a Senior at Tippecanoe Valley High School, resides in Mentone with his parents, Tim and Jerilynn Britton. According to his Recruiter, SFC Murphy, Britton enlisted Aug. 26, as a Signal Support Systems Specialist. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C. and will learn basic military skills such as First Aid, Land Navigation and Basic Rifle Marksmanship, as well as offensive and defensive combat operations.
Britton will receive the Indiana Army National Guard 100 Percent State College Tuition Assistance Program, the Montgomery GI Bill and the GI Bill kicker.
Donahue is a senior at Warsaw Community High School and resides with his mother Stephanie Ault in Warsaw. According to his Recruiter, SFC Dan Murphy, Donahue enlisted Aug 26 as well. He enlisted as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C. upon graduating in 2014.
Donahue will receive the Indiana Army National Guard 100 Percent State College Tuition Assistance Program and the Montgomery GI Bill.
