WARSAW — There are new housing developments currently in the works for Warsaw.
City Planner Justin Taylor recently discussed upcoming housing that is being developed, or will be soon.
“These developments are being built to hopefully make an impact on the need for housing in our community,” said Taylor.
Park Ridge South
This neighborhood will be located off of County Farm Road, as a continuation of the Park Ridge neighborhood. There will be a total of 102 lots for new homes. This development just began phase one, with units estimated to be finished by early 2024.
Harvest Ridge
Harvest Ridge will be a neighborhood located behind Menards, but is currently still in pre-phase one. There is a total of 91 lots to be built. Located on Robinhood Drive will be several attached-style, single-family homes. “This will offer a new kind of housing to the area that we haven’t seen very much of yet,” stated Taylor. There will also be some detached single family style homes as well in this development.
Housing Developments Coming In Two to Three Years:
Alta Vista
The Alta Vista Housing Development will be located off of Old Road 30 and consists of 89 lots. Currently, some behind-the-scenes utility work is happening, according to Taylor.
Green Brier
The Green Brier housing development is located off of CR 350N, north of the airport, adjacent to The Dells neighborhood. The development is currently putting in the infrastructure for phase one and is looking to be in motion within the next two years.
Belle Augusta
The Belle Augusta neighborhood is currently working in its fourth stage of building 189 lots. The fifth and last stage will be finalizing once the fourth stage is complete.
Gateway Grove
The Gateway Grove housing development will be located downtown with a total of 62 lots. They are currently working through phase one which will take approximately three to five years to build it out. It is expected to be around 25 units built per stage. This development will consist of townhome units.
Buffalo Street Townhomes
The Buffalo Street Townhomes that will be located near Center Lake have had significant delays in building due to the contractor having issues achieving deadlines. While the city hopes to continue with the original contractor for this project, that is still to be determined. Phase one of this development hopes to have 30 units on the west side with potential for additional units on the east side of the street as well. This project is looking like it will take approximately five years to complete.
