ETNA GREEN — A Bourbon teenager was recently arrested for allegedly battering a woman in Etna Green.
Hunter Wayne Braasch, 19, 4056 12B Road, Bourbon, is charged with strangulation and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On May 11, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy met with a woman at a medical center in Plymouth. The woman said Braasch battered her in Etna Green.
According to court documents, during the incident, Braasch smacked the right side of the woman’s face and placed both of his hands around the woman’s neck and squeezed.
He also allegedly punched the woman in her right temple and bit the back of her head. At one point, Braasch grabbed a wrench and swung it at the woman, but she blocked it with her foot.
On May 18, Braasch told a Marshall County home detention officer there was no reason for him to speak with KCSO deputies about the incident and that he should just go to jail.
A nurse in Marshall County documented abrasions on the front and back of the woman’s neck, and around her lips and chin. There were also over 20 bruises on the woman’s arms, back and legs.
For this case, Braasch was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 9, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
